1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when you create or use an account. This includes your name, email address, organization, projects, field geometry, orders, samples, and feedback.
We also collect first-party product usage data. This can include when you use Veleres, the product screens and features you use, active time on a screen, navigation between screens, and customer actions such as selecting a project or layer, viewing a comparison or report, or completing an export. When you view survey imagery, we can record the project, survey date, layer type, entry path, render result, and time from satellite sensing or processing to the verified view. A verified view means that an authorized raster became visible in the application.
Technical data can include browser or application version, operating system, IP address, and approximate location derived from the IP address. Product analytics does not use device GPS location. We can also collect performance and error information needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide satellite imagery analysis, process orders, support users, secure and operate the service, understand adoption and retention, find workflow friction, and improve Veleres. Product analytics is first-party. We do not sell personal information.
Authorized Veleres administrators can use aggregate reports. A smaller set of authorized administrators can access account-linked activity when needed for support, account management, security, or product analysis. Administrative access is permission-controlled and audited.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Field geometry and analysis data are stored in our cloud infrastructure.
Raw behavioral analytics is retained for up to 13 months. Designated technical error and performance events are retained for up to 90 days. We can retain aggregated statistics that no longer identify an individual for longer periods. Business records and analysis results can have different retention periods when needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations.
4. Satellite Imagery
Satellite imagery data processed through our platform is derived from publicly available Copernicus Sentinel-2 data. Analysis results are stored for your access.
5. Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at contact@veleres.com. You can also ask us to exclude your account from detailed product analytics. Some records can remain when we must retain them to operate the service, protect security, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
